Where to begin.1. Induces motion sickness . A lot of VR games have already solved this problems- see Talos Principle.2. Game play sucks - canned sequences kills any feelings of exploration and discovery3. Lack of immersiveness due to mediocre graphics(feels more like 2016), lame transitions4. Shooting dinosaurs is evil. (Even if I wanted to shoot them down, it's a poorly done wave shooter.)It's such an epic fail on so many fronts, I'm not sure how the devs can salvage this game.. This game was the biggest let down ever. The trailer for the game was more entertaining then the actual game play. DO NOT BUY!. Updated Review]The developer has been hard at work adding additional content - based on the new DLC (end of June), I'm comfortable saying go ahead and buy this.The game itself has a reasonable wave shooter that you may or may not enjoy - there's a DNA scanning game that is effectively a hidden object game. Wait for it to go on sale, maybe.. Great Game and I can't wait for more DLC. This game was terrible. I expected more after playing ark survival evolved. This feels like a childrens game and a bad one at that. Very tiny exploration spaces. The battles are the worst combat i have seen so far on any games. I requested an refund immediately.. I waited so long for this game, Love dinosaurs and couldn't wait to have a real game with them in VR. This is not a game, not even a okay tech demo, this is litterly crap that I bought. FIrst thing I noticed is the horrific graphics quality, some here say it looked great and the game is awesome. I can tell you they are either working for the company that made this or are 3 yrs old and don't know any better. It is so blurry the game, and so incredibly bad looking, like a game from the late 90's. The game play is a joke, cause there is none, you can explore, yeah right.....you can explore a 20ft radius with nothing to do, you litterally put fake gloves on that don't sync to where your actual hands are and then shake a bush here and there for 20sec at a time to collect fruit for no good reason. Thought I was going to be able to walk around in this open world, NOPE, you teleport which is horrible and there is no place to go cause you can only teleport 20ft in only certain directions. The animations are all pre defined and horrible, you litterally stand there while a really fake looking dinosuar walks right through you like your not there. I thought I can drive a jeep, NOPE, you ride in one while a robot drives and you look around at the worse dino animations and horrific quality forest. I feel like I was scammed, they tried to make this feel like an amazing open world with AI dinosuars, game play, awesome graphics, and instead gave us a half♥♥♥♥♥demo. The idea that people liked this and don't work for the company is hilarious. I'm really enjoying this game, love the variety of weapons and environments, definitely would recommend. This is very much a cash grab. but a lovely one. My guess is Snail Games got access to all the awesome models and animations from Studio Wildcards Ark Survival Evolved and threw together a few environments with the dinosaurs having some simple AI and a few animations. The movement options are few, teleport which works as expected, and trackpad locomotion, the head stearing kind that i personally hate. With trackpad locomotion it seems like your hitbox always stays in the middle of your playspace, and never updates to where you actually are in the room. With all these flaws, i still like it. Studio Wildcard made some awesome dinosaur models, and the environments are really good. The sound design is great aswell. The experience, which sadly is turned into a half-funtioning game, divides everything up into different areas that you teleport between. the map is not connected with gateways, you just teleport. This makes it feel like it is just a collection of stuff and not a whole experience. a lot of potential was lost due to the approach snail studios took with the material they had. hopefully they will do something similar in the future, but with a well thoughtout plan on how to do it well before beginning. There are a couple of dinosaur and mosasaur experiences out there, like the pleiosaurus in Summer funland, some other swimmers in ocean rift, a couple in Nature treks VR, and ofcourse robinson the journey. there are more, but i think these are the noteworthy ones. I think Ark Park is one of the greatest dinosaur experiences and definitely worth 26:- that i got it for on sale, once i got rid of all the blurr that is.
